This is a beautiful pair of most likely late 19th century antique hand painted cobalt blue bird frog figurines made in China. These Chinese export porcelain birds are beautifully hand painted in a gorgeous deep cobalt blue color on green frog bases and finsihed with a glossy glaze. There are no chips but there is one tiny hairline crack in the base of one bird but it doesn't affect the integrity of the piece and doesn't show when displayed. These are in overall excellent antique condition especially considering their age with only slight wear to the glaze. These would be beautiful displayed in a cabinet or on a shelf, look great mixed with blue and white or tobacco leaf and are perfect for any bird lover.
