RARE! Late 19th Century Antique Rose Medallion Dish, 6"

This is a super rare antique rose medallion dish made in China in the late 19th century circa 1880-1890. I've never seen this shape before and could not find it anywhere online or in any of my Chinese export porcelain books. The closest shape I've seen are the leaf shaped dishes but this is definitely not a leaf. Possibly a pomegranate? The hand painted details on this unusually shaped dish are amazing and even with some wear due to age it still looks stunning. The colors and the details on the butterflies, the birds, the flowers, the people - all are just so amazing! This is a true collector piece for those who love antique rose medallion. It's in overall very good condition with some wear to the gilding due to age and a small chip to the edge which is barely noticeable from the front.
