Silverplate Bowl Nut Dish by Georg Nilsson for Gero, Made in Denmark, 4"

This is a small silver plate bowl or nut dish by Georg Nilsson made in Denmark. George Nilsson was a Danish designer known for his work for the Dutch Gero Factory in Copenhagen appointed in the 1920’s. Pieces were made for the Danish market and had his signature stamp (GN). This piece is an example of Danish modern design with clean lines and a sleek elegant shape. It's marked "GN Gero 90" on the bottom and the 90 referred to 90 grams of silver used in the plating process making it very high quality. It's in excellent condition with very little wear.
