Vintage MId-Century Silverplate Champagne Wine Bottle Coaster, Made in England, 5"

This is a beautiful silverplate and wood champagne wine bottle coaster made in England and imported to the US by Eisenberg-Lozano, circa 1953-1970. Eisenberg-Lozano Inc, was founded in New York in 1953, by Arthur Eisenberg and Neil Lozano as an importer of European & British Silverplate. They were acquired by Kirk (The Stieff Company) in 1970 due to the similarity and high quality of their products, then renamed Kirk International in 1973. This bottle coaster has a beautiful pierced design in the silver over copper along the gallery, the base is made of wood, most likely walnut and it has a felt bottom. It's large enough to accommodate either a magnum or regular size wine/champagne bottle and will look elegant while protecting your tablecloth from wine drips or condensation. It bears the following marks "made in England, silver on copper and EL with a crown above it" identifying the importer Eisenberg-Lozano. It's in excellent vintage condition with very minor age related wear.
