Gorgeous Vintage Wallace Grande Baroque Sterling Silver Sugar Tongs, 66 grams

This is a gorgeous pair of sterling silver sugar tongs by Wallace in the Grande Baroque pattern, circa 1940. This pattern was patented in 1941 but these are marked "Wallace Sterling Patented For" which means they were made prior to being patented in1941. They have claw and talon feet which are exquisitely done and the Grande Baroque pattern is regal combining elements of both the Renaissance and Baroque periods. These are perfect to use as intended to pick up sugar cubes and will look beautiful at your next tea party. They could also be used on a charcuterie tray or with hors d'oeuvres for holiday or dinner parties. Either way they will be an elegant addition to your serving pieces. These are in excellent vintage condition with very minimal signs of wear.
