Vintage Johnson Brothers "Friendly Village" Mug, Made in England, 3.25"

Imagine curling up with a cozy cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate and a good book on a cold winter day -- this mug is perfect for just such an occasion! This mug is in "The Friendly Village" pattern by Johnson Brothers made in England. It depicts an idyllic winter snow scene with a red covered bridge and the border has a pretty floral and leaf scroll design all done in a brown transferware with polychrome color on a creamy background. This design  is discontinued. There is no backstamp but it is impressed with "Made in England" on the underside. The mug is n overall very good vintage condition with only minor age related wear.
