Creamware Pierced Pedestal Fruit Bowl by Hartley Greens/Leeds, Made in England, 9"

This beautiful Hartley Greens/Leeds Pottery creamware pedestal fruit bowl is an exquisite example of hand carved English earthenware. Founded in 1770 in Leeds, England, Hartley Greens & Co quickly became famous for Creamware, a new type of fine earthenware, often decorated with pierced holes in intricate patterns. This pattern almost resembles snowflakes and would be beautiful in a holiday tablescape or as a centerpiece on a kitchen island to display fruit. This discontinued piece is rare and sold out on the popular dish site. It's in excellent vintage condition.
