This is a beautiful vintage square jasper dip plate in black by Wedgwood made in England circa 1932. This shape is unique and depicts the sacrifice figures in cream bas relief on all four sides of the plate with daisy motifs in all four corners on a black dip background. The underside is white showing that this piece was dipped only on the front side and is marked with the following impressions: Wedgwood, made in England, and 1U32. Black dip jasperware was produced in three different time periods; 1778-1826, 1844-1941 and 1948-1986. This piece is dated to 1932, making it an older vintage piece and just 7 years shy of being an antique. It's in excellent vintage condition for its age with no chips or cracks. It would be an amazing and unique addition to any jasperware collection and would look beautiful displayed in a cabinet or mixed with other plates in a plate wall.
