Beautiful Vintage French Faïence Artichoke Plates by Gien, Made in France, Set of 4

This is a beautiful set of 4 French faience artichoke plates by Gien. These French majolica plates are hand molded and hand-painted in ivory and green. They have a raised floral and leaf motif, with a deep sauce well and each plate is a beautiful work of art. They would be beautiful in a plate wall or displayed in a cabinet. The maker's mark is on the underside along with imprinted marks. Based on the marks these plates can be dated to between 1941-1960. They are in very good vintage condition with age related crazing.

• Each plate measures 9.25" in diameter
• No large chips or cracks but there are some small surface glaze chips and a few imperfections under the glaze at the time they were made
