Vintage Daisy Cake Pedestal by Metlox Poppytrail - Circa 1970's

VINTAGE Metlox Poppytrail "Sculptured Daisy" Cake Pedestal, circa 1970's. This is a gorgeous sculptured daisy cake pedestal plate with a perfect yellow bow on the side of the pedestal that feels so very on trend currently even though this piece was made between 1964 and 1983. A prime example of why well-sourced vintage and antique pieces never go out of style! This would look equally beautiful in either a flower power 70's boho vibe table setting, as well as a more modern spring table setting mixed in perfectly with white, green or yellow cabbage ware. Use it to serve cupcakes, cookies, a showstopper cake or various other treats. Made by Metlox in California, the makers mark is impressed on the bottom with "made in Cali" and "Poppytrail". This is a discontinued piece and very hard to find, but sells on a popular website for $240. I acquired it recently in an estate sale and it's in excellent vintage condition with no apparent chips or cracks (see all photos). Measures 13" in diameter at top of plate, 6.5" wide at the base of pedestal and stands 5.5" high. Weighs approximately 5 lbs.
